With the rapid industrialization, the demand for electricity also increases. To bridge the gap between supply and demand, power production is thrown open to the private sector. At MEC, the Electrical & Electronics department endeavors to produce high caliber Electrical Engineers to curtail this gap. The department focuses on teaching the nuances of the recent trends with a blend of theoretical and practical base. Special emphasis is given to the emerging and extensive use of power electronics, in the modern transmission system and electric drives and controls.
